Hi, I'm Sarah
I’m a birth doula in the Davis County, Salt Lake County, and Utah County areas
I believe that birth is a natural, normal function of the body AND that our bodies aren’t perfect, and we may need (or want) medical support and pain relief along the way.
I have had a long (34-hour) hospital labor that was meant to be unmedicated, but I made the conscious choice to rest with an epidural after a labor stall at 9 cm, and a short (7-hour, but only intense for 3 hours) home birth that was meant to include standard hospital interventions like an IV, cervical checks, and extra monitoring on baby—but ended with me giving birth 30 minutes after my midwife walked through the door.
This is why I am so passionate about full-person birth prep. I understand deeply that birth doesn’t always go according to plan, but preparing our bodies and minds beforehand goes a long way in creating a positive experience.

What I'll Bring to Your Birth Journey
I love supporting natural physiology in birth—regardless of whether you birth in the hospital, at home, with an epidural, through induction, or by c-section.
To do that we start prenatally. I offer an (optional) full online birth course with a physiology first perspective in hospital settings, and we do the work together to adjust mindsets, clear fears, improve our health and baby’s positioning, and prepare for the unknowns (including NICU and C-Section).
During your birth, I love supporting physiology regardless of what interventions come our way. This can look like anything from advocating for your low-intervention hospital birth, to helping you into positions with a peanut ball to open the levels of your pelvis while you rest with your epidural, or supporting the natural flow of oxytocin during a labor induction.
I want you to have the best birth possible, and for that I want you to have the best support possible. My goal is for you to feel prepared and supported, no matter what comes your way.
