Postpartum Care Doula

Practical Help & Nurturing Care for New Families

We understand that every mother’s postpartum journey is unique. That’s why we offer two distinct paths of support: our Mothers Healing support for those seeking a soulful reconnection the themselves during the postpartum transition, and our traditional postpartum doula care for families who desire practical assistance and nurturing guidance during those tender early weeks.

Postpartum Doula Support

We created this package for mothers who…

You are looking for support with practical needs such as household organization, meal planning and preparation, errand running and light housekeeping.

You want help with newborn care such as safe sleep information, infant handling, bottle/breastfeeding support, babywearing support, and helping you to understand your newborn’s needs.

You would love someone to provide for your emotional/physical needs such as comforting touch including reflexology, a non-judgmental sounding board, caring for your baby (and other children) so you can shower, nap, and practice self-care.

Investment: $40/hour for days, $48/hour for nights

Postpartum Support FAQ

Absolutely! Many families love the continuity of having the same doula support them through both their birth and postpartum experiences. It can foster a deeper sense of trust and connection, allowing your doula to truly understand your needs and preferences.

However, it’s important to note that not all doulas offer both birth and postpartum services. Some specialize in one or the other. Along with this, a birth doulas schedule can be very unpredictable. This means that she may need to reschedule or leave postpartum visits more often than a postpartum only doula.

Ultimately, the decision is yours! Whether you choose to have the same doula or different doulas for each experience, the most important thing is finding the right support for your unique needs and preferences.

That’s a great question, and one many new parents ponder! It’s completely normal to be unsure of how much postpartum support you’ll need. After all, every family and every baby is different.

Here’s how we approach it:

  1. We Start with a Conversation:We’ll have a consultation with you to discuss your expectations, concerns, and lifestyle. We’ll explore your support network, your partner’s involvement, and any specific needs or challenges you anticipate.
  2. We Find a Comfortable Middle Ground:Based on our discussion, we’ll recommend a starting point for your postpartum support hours. This will often be the median of what youthink you might need, allowing for flexibility.
  3. We Prioritize Flexibility and Adjustments:We understand that your needs may change once your baby arrives. That’s why we build in flexibility to adjust your support hours as needed. If you find you need more help, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request, depending on your doula’s availability. And if you need fewer hours, we can adjust accordingly.

Our goal is to provide you with the perfect level of support so you can focus on healing, bonding with your baby, and navigating this beautiful transition with confidence and ease.
