Hi, I'm Allison
I'm a Birth and Postpartum Specialist, Bengkung Belly Binder, and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist/Trainer
My journey into the birth world began when my first son was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect at his 20-week anatomy scan. In an instant, I felt my choices about birth disappear. Two weeks later, I received a miraculous phone call–his heart looked completely healed. With that news, I clung to the natural birth path, because suddenly having a voice in my own story became so important.
When I became pregnant with my second, I pursued an out-of-hospital birth, preparing through childbirth classes, books, and hiring a doula. That preparation gave me the confidence to navigate what became an accidental homebirth. It was fast, unexpected, and yet deeply peaceful. I felt safe, empowered, and strong. That experience lit a fire in me: I wanted to help other women feel that same sense of empowerment, even when birth takes unexpected turns.
I’ve always been a coach at heart. Before doula work, I spent years coaching track and field as well as boxing, helping others achieve what they once thought impossible. Becoming a birth doula was a natural extension of that, stepping into vulnerable spaces with women, lifting them up, and walking with them through one of life’s most transformative journeys.
My passion expanded into postpartum work after the birth of my third child in 2022. Realizing how poorly the western medical system supports mothers in the weeks after birth, I dove into Asian postpartum traditions and practices. Incorporating those into my own healing was transformative, and now I support women with mother-warming practices, nourishing foods, and gentle newborn guidance so they feel cared for, not forgotten, in the sacred postpartum window.

What I'll Bring to Your Birth Journey
I believe that an empowered birth isn’t defined by being “natural” or intervention-free, it’s defined by being fully informed, supported, and confident in the choices you make. My role is to ensure you understand your options, to help you weigh the benefits and risks, and to stand by your side every step of the way.
Whether you envision an unmedicated homebirth, a hospital epidural, or something in between, I bring calm presence, evidence-based education, and unwavering support. My goal is to help you walk away from your birth feeling seen, heard, and empowered.
